Yesterday morning My newest niece come over for a visit with her mama.

I was relaxing from the wedding I shot the night before, but right before they were about to leave I got the motivation to grab my camera and do a spontaneous mini shoot.

I am so glad I did, look how precious she is!

As a mom of 2 boys, it was so fun taking photos of a girl for a change!

Baby Tiara is so sweet and such a happy baby!

I am so happy with these!

And I must give a shout out to my awesome (and oh so patient) designer Ryan from Second Creative who lets me tweak things until the bitter end.

He swears I am not high maintenance, but I felt like it sometimes with all of these branding materials! I am always having him try something else, move things around, etc. etc.

He is the man! He totally has the ability to take my vision and create it, making it even better than I imagined!

So thanks again Ryan for stylin’ me out!

FYI: Ryan did my Logo, Twitter Page, my mailing labels, letterhead, and DVD labels for the discs of photos I give to my clients.

And now we are on to my website! I CANNOT WAIT for my website! Its killing me! I am so excited! And then he will come over here to this blog and make some tweaks to make it match the other materials, making it extra pretty.

So that’s my exciting news! I can’t wait to get these all printed up to share!

Pet Photography~ Vincent

Golf Inspired Head Shots

Dustin, who is a talented young pro golfer, is also an up and coming model and actor, actually out of state and shooting a commercial in Florida right now.

He needed updated head shots and some golf inspired shots for his agent and portfolio.
I love how they turned out and I am so happy to add a guy in my head shot portfolio (which is dominated by girls)…thanks for helping balance that out Dustin!
I had so much fun hanging out with you last Sunday!

I don’t think Dustin will have any problem getting work in the modeling or acting business, what do you think?

I posted these shots on my Wildflower Studio Facebook page, as well as my personal page

and got quite a response from the ladies!

Boudoir Photography

this is not my typical family or child photo sneak preview…

Here is a teaser from my very first boudoir shoot!

I am so thrilled with the results, as is my client!
I am also a bit shocked…
I have always been an anti-indoor photography girl
and stuck to shooting outdoors,
but I had so much fun being creative with the available light in her home
and using the existing furniture.
No flash was used, no professional model, no props! She and I didn’t know what to expect…

But WOW!

These were taken as a Valentines gift for her hubby, lucky guy!
I can’t wait to do more of these feminine photo shoots!

First Shoot Of 2010! Color & Connections In This Beautiful Family

One of my favorite things about the Indian culture is their eye for color.

Belly Shots! Taylor’s Maternity Sneak Preview

This was my very first maternity shoot! Yay!

I LOVE pregnant bellies, so I was on on cloud nine after this shoot, just floating around, and so excited to get home to see how the shoot came out.

The Wynn Family

As photographers, Kevin and I are not ever in any photos with our families, so this past weekend we had the wild experience of bringing both of our families to the Lake and swapping portrait sessions!

It was a very cold and blustery day and I was a bit frazzled trying to persuade my half to cooperate. I must say, it was interesting trying to keep my kids happy…

glad they don’t come with me on my regular gigs!

Despite the wind and cold, it was fun regardless!

Adventures Before The Storm~Patelzick Family Sneak Peek

What a sweet family! I love that photo of you all

A storm was brewing, so the Patelzick family was a little worried about their scheduled shoot. We moved the shoot to an earlier time as we watched the dark, stormy clouds roll in. It was very chilly, but felt like an adventure as we played in the reeds and tall grass. To make things even more fun, Catherine brought so many fun props! I was so excited, as were here adorable boys. We have swords, pirate hats, super hero capes, and to top it off, bubbles!!! It was so fun for me and for them.

Nielsen Family Sneak Preview

I was blessed to be hired by Sara and Kelly who came into town for Thanksgiving weekend with their adorable new baby, Oliver. I had so much fun with them, and absolutely fell in love with their photos! When I named my business Wildflower Studio, This is the feeling I had, the same feeling I get when I look at their photos, whimsical, soulful, romantic, candid, & fun.

Sara and Kelly, you have such a beautiful energy around your family. It was SO difficult narrowing down which ones to post, I just love them all.

Nakaba brothers’ (and family) Sneak Peek!

I have so many great pics of these boys, but I want to be real and show you the reaction I got at first,

which I think is really funny…

OK, so I had a little resistance from these 3 boys at first,

but I wanted to show you guys how cute these kids are even when pouting

beginning with two year old Caynan…

Nine year old Cameron wasn’t too pleased at first, either…

Even seven year old Chase was giving me “the look”…

but I love all of those photos of them pouting about being photographed.

So I said time for skateboarding!

That went over well, and turns out Chase and Cameron are really good!

After that, they kinda let me take some pics of them sitting still for a second for mom, but only for a second or two!

These guys were so fun to watch, (even if they were running far away from me). They were diving and flipping off of sand dunes, and always doing stunts. It was really entertaining! They kept running far away until I told then they could climb up a lifegaurd tower…

and they liked that idea

and I truly saw that in these kids. They were completely in their element!

The Rauch Family Sneak Preview

I had such a hard time narrowing down favorites for this sneak preview, but here they are!

Its always so fun to be hired by people I knew from high school,

and when Amy contacted me, I knew I was in for some fun, and I couldn’t wait to meet her family.

Her hubby, Leon is a totally cool and funny guy, and her boys are so sweet and completely adorable!

I love this of you two!

Amy became super mom at one point during the shoot and actually leaped through the air just in time to catch Tristan who can go at hyper speed within seconds. I told her he will probably win awards one day.

I have never seen a kid run so fast before!

Amy and Leon were blessed with two very energetic boys, and are amazing parents!

I was so impressed with how they managed to look so graceful in their photos, you would have never guessed they were running, chasing and wrangling the whole time.

Leon brought fishing poles for the boys, I LOVE these photos!

The Howatt Family’s Sneak Preview

Remember Jane, the lovely writer I posted about last? Well, she is blessed with an equally lovely family.

She wanted some photos of her son Ryan, his beautiful wife Lori, and their adorable son Willie.

I was lucky enough to capture Lori’s gorgeous belly the day before the birth of their precious Ian was born!

These are their last photos as a family of 3, so special!

This is Jane’s husband Jim. He seems like such a great guy, and they seem like such a happy, fun-loving couple.

How sweet is this? I just love this photo!

That is one happy boy with his mom and dad! You guys are such a cute family!

This is my favorite of you three. You are simply stunning. All three of you have the most beautiful eyes!

We ended the shoot on the grass in front of their beautiful fountain.

Capturing the spirit of a writer at her home~ Jane’s Sneak Preview

I had a last minute schedule change with one of my upcoming families

and was lucky enough to be hired by this adorable family from T.O. the same day!

We decided to take advantage of the autumn season’s beauty and shoot somewhere that had lots of leaves.

Tim & Sophia & Family~Sneak Peek!

These are my gorgeous in-laws who asked me to do a photo shoot of their family last Sunday.

We hung out at the beach for a couple of hours while I took photos

trying to capture the spirit of each of them and also as a family together.

It was lots of fun!

A Sneak Peek for the Simiens and Saranglao Families

I am so blessed to be hired AGAIN by the Simiens Family for family photos.
This time around I got to photograph the Saranglao family from L.A. as well!

The two adorable moms are sisters-Mary Ann and Julie.
When I met Julie she told me she reads my blog. I was so flattered!

The families chose to have photos in and around the Simiens’ home in Camarillo.
I was so grateful for their openness to experiment~ like putting the couch …on the front lawn!
We also decorated Mary Ann’s fresh baked cupcakes, played in a tent, and had story time!

What a fun way to spend an autumn afternoon! Here are just a few of my fav’s:

-0115 72 This is Kevin being such a good sport on bottom. His sister Haley and cousin Colin sort of suddenly jumped on Kevin and we all had a good laugh. What a sweetie Kevin is, and so photogenic even when being squished!

I love this photo of Mary Ann holding little Violet, all cozied up on the grass. Speaking of crafty moms, it must be in the genes, because Mary Ann is so crafty as well! Not to mention she cooks and bakes all of the time too. I love it! (and I am hoping she rubs some of her cooking motivation magic off on me! She said she’d help me get going with my slow cooker!

At the end of the day Violet invited me to come play in her room.

She hopped up on her bed, and I happened to capture her quietly looking at books. I just love her little feet, just precious!

Thanks so much Jason, Mary Ann, Colin, Violet, Alvin, Julie, Kevin and Haley! I had so much fun with you! There were so many I photos I wanted to put up here, it was so hard to choose! I can’t wait to get these to you!

The Johnson Family Sneak Peek

I seriously could not narrow my favorite photos down from this session! We went on a hike in the beautiful hills of Ojai on a gorgeous autumn evening. I ended up taking 400 photos, and I love them all!
