  • About Shell and Wildflower Studio

Shell Dransart, owner of Wildflower Studio, is a boutique style portrait photographer who shoots on location using nature's available light (as well as the inner glow from her clients) :)
Shell is not your typical photographer. She is an artist and mother who wants to capture the essence and spirit of your family and bring it into pictures to be cherished for generations. Sessions with Shell are fun, creative, intimate and relaxed. You get 100% of Shell and nothing less.
You walk away with more than photos, you walk away with soulful, personal works of art.
“As your photographer, I strive to capture the spirit, or essence of each person in front of my camera, revealing their inner light, allowing their inner beauty and true self to shine through. I want to capture real connection. Those connections are magical. Its life. Life is beautiful. Life is art.”

One Sweet Journey

Her name is Journey and she really is this cute!

Her mom Joey is the owner and creator behind the Etsy store called Beary Box and made these adorable headbands you see.

She also provided most of the props here, we had fun putting it all together!

Journey was just a doll, I think she liked being dressed up and having her photos taken despite the chilly weather.

Here is a peek at  just a few of our pics!

Thanks again Q. Family!!

I love your photos! Thanks for supplying so many great props!

S. Etole - getting lost in those eyes … and the little feet

Little Miss Sunshine

Some days I am blessed with families and kids who make my job so easy, and I am grateful!

As soon as I met this family and felt their happy, easy going, energy I knew my job was going to be easy.

‘Their warmth and relaxed nature allowed their true beauty to shine through, they were glowing!

Here is a little sneak preview of their shoot- I had so much fun with them!

(Can you believe those eyes???)

(Spontaneous prop idea! This was our beach toy bucket I had in my car! I love it!)

Thanks again Hanely family!!!

I had a blast with you, and I can’t wait to show you the rest! I love your photos!:)

PS. check out my new watermark and fancy corners. I have had them for a little while and am just getting around to trying them out! I am still getting the hang of applying the corners, so that’s why they’re not on every pic.

(I still have older shoots to post on here, so you may see my old watermark pop back up here in the next few posts.)

PS. If you are thinking of scheduling a shoot for holiday cards, please don’t wait until the last minute! I am currently booking through October right now, so please contact me to get a spot before the holiday rush!

Have a great rest of your week!

Rose has an amazing glow, and her eyes have such an amazing sparkle to them!

This past week I scheduled my shoots during the week so I could take this weekend off. It has been so nice!

I tend to miss out on late afternoon/early evening BBQs and parties on the weekend, and  my family goes without me because I am always working at that time.

Last Saturday I tried to do it all and it was crazy! I left home at 10am and went to a morning babyshower, then directly after that to an afternoon birthday party, and then out of town to an evening photoshoot (where it rained- poured!-yes in S. California!) and I got home around 9:30pm that night wiped out!

Yesterday we had a birthday party and then a wedding reception luncheon after that, but we ended our night with a relaxing swim in my parents gorgeous new pool. The boys are little fish and love to swim.

Now today, I am taking the kids to go watch daddy play in his latest band.

Should be fun!

I hope your weekend has been relaxing and fun!

Thanks for visiting!

xoxo
